Having done yoga myself since I was a teenager, I can’t speak highly enough of its benefits!
A regular practice is a great way to stay connected with the body in a positive way. Too many of us spend so much time in our heads, or stuck in a chair glued to a screen. Yoga postures help us to retain a natural range of movements which can help our bodies to function well. As well as the physical benefits yoga will enhance your emotional wellbeing. Each pose has specific and different benefits, for body and mind.
Recently one of my regular yoga clients told me that she had learned so much about herself by coming regularly to class. What we learn on our mats spills over into everyday life, helping us to feel more in the moment, more alive, stronger and more relaxed. Deep relaxation helps us to feel energised and more like ourselves.
